Valour is built on courage, equity, and respect — these policies reflect that commitment.

Payment Policy

  • Payment must be completed before attending your first class.
  • Accepted methods: credit card (online) and e-transfer to payments@valourfencing.ca.
  • Monthly memberships are billed at the start of each month.
  • Drop-in sessions must be paid for in advance.
  • Payments are non-refundable except for extenuating circumstances.
  • Club-initiated cancellations receive full refunds or credits.

Waiver Policy

  • All students must complete and sign a waiver form before their first class.
  • For students under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.
  • Waivers are on file permanently — you only need to sign once.
  • Parental consent is required for all minors participating in any program.
  • Complete the waiver form online at valourfencing.ca or contact info@valourfencing.ca.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Session cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Late cancellations (under 24 hours) are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
  • Monthly memberships are non-refundable once the month has started.
  • Drop-in sessions are non-refundable.
  • Exceptions may be made for medical emergencies with documentation.
  • Club-initiated cancellations receive full refunds or session credits.

Safety & Conduct

  • All students must wear full protective gear during any blade contact activity.
  • Equipment must be inspected before each session.
  • Students are expected to treat coaches, fellow students, and equipment with respect.
  • Any unsafe behavior may result in immediate removal from the session without refund.
  • Valour FC reserves the right to dismiss any student whose conduct is deemed inappropriate.
  • Coaches follow ethical standards and are required to report any misconduct.
  • Open communication is encouraged for any safety concerns — report to info@valourfencing.ca.

Equipment Policy

  • Loaner equipment is available for new students on a limited basis.
  • Kids class equipment rental is $90 (one-time fee).
  • Students are responsible for any damage caused to borrowed equipment.
  • Personal equipment must meet FIE or national federation safety standards.
  • Schools and program partners: all equipment is provided by Valour at no upfront cost.

Inclusion & Anti-Discrimination

  • We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, or socio-economic background.
  • All experience levels are welcomed and diversity is actively promoted.
  • Athletes participate in programs based on their gender identity.
  • Preferred pronouns and names are respected by all coaches and staff.
  • Gender-inclusive spaces and facilities are provided wherever possible.
  • Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or removal from the club.
  • Report any concerns confidentially to info@valourfencing.ca.

Code of Conduct

  • Treat all coaches, athletes, and staff with respect and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and facility rules at 3700 Willingdon Ave.
  • Maintain honesty in competition, practice, and all club interactions.
  • Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the club.

Safe Sport & Athlete Welfare

  • Valour FC maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, or misconduct.
  • All coaches adhere to ethical standards aligned with safe sport principles.
  • Any misconduct must be reported immediately to club leadership.
  • Athletes are encouraged to speak openly about any concerns regarding their safety or wellbeing.
  • The club maintains proper insurance and follows all required standards for safe sport.

Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal information collected is kept strictly confidential.
  • No personal data is shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.
  • Parental consent is required before collecting any information from minors.
  • Photography or video at club events may be used for promotional purposes; opt-out requests are respected.
