Private Fencing Lessons

Build the skills that win bouts. One touch at a time.

Private lessons at Valour are focused, technical, and tailored to your fencing. This is where you refine footwork, clean up bladework, tighten your defense, and build reliable actions you can use in competition. You’ll work directly with Coach Luis, with lots of repetition, real-time correction, and a clear plan for what to improve next.

Price: $50/30 Minute or $100/1 Hour

Private lessons are ideal if you want to:

  • Improve technique (point control, distance, timing, accuracy)

  • Develop footwork and movement (balance, speed, explosiveness, control)

  • Learn how to attack and how to defend with intention

  • Fix habits that are holding you back (telegraphing, rushing, drifting, freezing)

  • Prepare for tournaments with a structured training focus

This is not just “fencing the coach.” You’ll learn how to hit, how to move, how to defend — and why each choice works.

What Private Lessons Are For

What Training Looks Like

Coach Luis suits up in a coaching jacket (all black) so you can safely work on real actions at real distance. You’ll get to land touches, practice clean executions, and understand what good fencing feels like.

A typical lesson includes:

  • A quick warm-up / movement check

  • 1–2 technical focuses (example: disengage timing, parry-riposte, finishing footwork)

  • Corrective drills with coaching cues

  • Situational reps (specific actions under realistic timing)

  • A simple takeaway to apply in open fencing and practice

Who It’s For

Beginners: learn correct mechanics early and build confidence fast.

Intermediate fencers: sharpen consistency, timing, and distance control.
